We are a small local bike shop serving the Coachella Valley looking for an experienced bicycle mechanic that can work on E-bikes and regular bikes too.
Core Responsibilities
• Repair and Maintenance: Fix flat tires, patch tubes, true and build wheels, and bleed hydraulic brakes.
• Adjustments and Tuning: Align and adjust mechanical or electronic gear shifting, brake pads, and suspension systems.
• Assembly and Inspection: Unbox and build new bicycles, conduct safety checks (such as M-checks), and test-ride finished repairs.
• Customer Service and Operations: Write service tickets, estimate repair costs, manage parts inventory, and advise customers on gear or sizing.
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with specialized hand and power tools, drivetrain mechanics, and e-bike electrical diagnostics.
• Experience and Education: High school diploma or GED, paired with hands-on shop experience or training from programs like the United Bicycle Institute.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy bicycles and boxes weighing anywhere from 20 to 60 pounds.
