We are an owner-operated residential painting company with more than 30 years of experience. We’re looking for a dependable, career-minded Painter Helper / Apprentice Painter who wants to learn a skilled trade and grow into a professional painter.
This is a hands-on position working directly alongside an experienced painter. Prior experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability, work ethic, and willingness to learn are more important.
Responsibilities
* Protect floors, furniture, landscaping, and customer property
* Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, caulking, patching, and filling
* Assist with drywall and minor surface repairs
* Brush, roll, and cut in walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and other surfaces
* Learn proper spraying techniques as skills develop
* Assist with staining and finishing
* Set up and clean up jobsites daily
* Maintain brushes, rollers, tools, ladders, and equipment
* Move and organize materials and supplies
* Follow proper jobsite safety procedures
* Work neatly and respectfully in customers’ homes
* Learn professional painting techniques and quality standards
* Develop the ability to complete assigned tasks independently
