Hi, I am an experienced ACT tutor who has coached many students to achieve high scores on the ACT. This includes helping many recent students with the new format Enhanced ACT. I have plenty of successes and resources including real tests.
I usually meet with students on Zoom and discuss timing strategies, calculator tricks, grammar shortcuts and Reading skimming strategies. If taking the optional Science section, students learn efficient chart reading and how to quickly identify the variables and relationships between them. I provide summaries and notes after each session.
I have had students work with me over several months, 6-8 weeks before the test and even a few days before the test. While it is easiest to improve with at least 6 week of practice time, almost all students can benefit from several practice sessions.
I live in Maple Grove but usually meet on Zoom due to serving students in a wide range of geographic areas. I am happy to do a quick meet and greet session on Zoom or nearby if you are in the area.
My rate is $65 for 1 hour or $75 for 1.5 hours on Zoom. I take the test regularly and score 35-36. Contact me and we will devise a plan for your child. References gladly provided. I am recommended by well-known college consultants Sue Luse and Brian Hicks. Materials are provided as pdfs.
