Window Measurement Tech — Ongoing Work, Up to 20 Homes a Week — Start With One Paid Tryout (Orlando)
We're a builder and smart-home company in Orlando, and we install motorized shades in a lot of homes. Every one of those homes needs its windows measured before we order. We need a reliable person to be our measurer.
This is real, ongoing work for the right person: as many as 20 homes a week, about an hour each, paid per home. You get in, measure accurately, and leave. That's the whole job.
We start with one paid tryout home — 26 windows, about an hour, $75 cash. If you're accurate and you present well, we keep sending you homes.
What the work looks like at each window:
1. Name the window — room and position, left to right. "Bedroom 1, Window 1 (far left)."
2. Measure the width inside the frame in 3 spots — top, middle, bottom. Write all 3.
3. Measure the height inside the frame in 3 spots — left, center, right. Write all 3.
4. Measure the depth of the frame, front edge to glass.
5. Write the real number to the nearest 1/8". Never subtract anything.
6. Measure every window twice.
We give you a printed sheet with a row for every window. You fill it in. We do the rest.
What we need from you:
- A metal tape measure and a steady, careful hand
- Neat, clear handwriting — a wrong number means a shade that doesn't fit
- Professional appearance. You're walking into people's homes representing us. Dress clean and presentable, be polite, be on time.
- In and out. Accurate, efficient, no lingering.
Who this fits: a handyman, installer, contractor helper, retiree, or anyone detail-oriented and dependable who wants steady part-time work.
Details:
- Tryout: 26 windows, ~1 hour, $75 cash, same day
- After that: paid per home, up to 20 homes a week, flexible schedule
- Location: Windermere / Dr. Phillips and around Orlando
