We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly organized professional with strong expertise in payroll, human resources administration, and bookkeeping.
This is a hands-on position for someone who can work independently, take responsibility for important deadlines, and contribute to the smooth operation of our business.
The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced Senior Bookkeeper, who will provide oversight and guidance on complex accounting matters.

● Maintain accurate records of wages, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and paid time off.
● Understand applicable federal and Florida payroll requirements, including wage and hour regulations.
● Monitor payroll deadlines and ensure timely submission.

● Coordinate employment documentation, payroll changes, and employee separations.
● Help ensure compliance with applicable federal and Florida employment requirements.
● Identify employee administration issues that require management attention.
● Support recruitment administration when needed.
The position focuses primarily on HR administration and compliance, rather than independently making hiring, disciplinary, or termination decisions, which remain management responsibilities.

● Record transactions across multiple business entities.
● Properly document intercompany expenses, transfers, and transactions.
● Assist with reconciling intercompany balances.
● Work under the guidance of our Senior Bookkeeper and outside CPA on more complex accounting matters.
5. Sales Tax and Administrative Compliance
● Prepare and assist with Florida sales tax returns and payments.
● Reconcile sales tax reporting with retail sales information.
● Maintain a calendar of important filing and payment deadlines.

● Report potential issues promptly to management.
Required Qualifications:

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and consistently meet deadlines.

● Experience maintaining employee handbooks and HR documentation.
● Familiarity with Florida employment and sales tax requirements.
● Experience with multiple related business entities.
● Familiarity with Lightspeed POS.
● Experience coordinating with external CPAs and accounting professionals.
● Experience with employee training or HR management systems.
Our ideal candidate:

● Is comfortable dealing professionally and sensitively with employee questions.
● Has sufficient experience to identify potential payroll, HR, and accounting problems before they become serious.
● Works independently without requiring constant supervision.
