Details & Specifications:
- Dial Markings: Jos. Johnson / 25. Church. St / Liverpool / 19. Jewels
- Movement Markings: Engraved on the plate: Jos. Johnson, 25 Church St, Liverpool
- Serial Number: 14870 (stamped on the movement plate).
- Jewel Count: 19 Jewels (believed to featuring the iconic, large "Liverpool Window" ruby/quartz endstone configuration).
- Mechanism: Believed to be key-wind, key-set English fusee / lever escapement.
Condition Report (Please Read Carefully): This unit is unfinished, non-running, and missing its outer protective case. It exhibits wear consistent with age, including as detailed below:
- Dial & Hands: The white enamel dial has multiple hairline fractures and heavy spider webbing across the face. There is significant rust, corrosion, and organic staining around the central hand arbor and the subsidiary seconds track. The hour and minute hands are heavily patinated/rusted, and one of them appears to be previously snapped and therefore too short. The sub-seconds hand is missing.
- Mechanical Components: The fusee chain and gear train are untested. The movement plates show oxidation and age patina.
