PART-TIME DRIVER & EVENT SETUP SPECIALIST – $25/HOUR (Opa Locka)

Munchkin Soft Play is hiring dependable drivers to deliver, set up, and pick up party-rental equipment throughout South Florida.
This is a part-time, on-call 1099 independent-contractor opportunity, not a W-2 employee position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes.
THIS IS A DRIVING POSITION.
Applicants must be able and willing to drive 10–15-foot rental box trucks. If you cannot or will not drive, please do not apply. We are not hiring non-drivers for this position.
SCHEDULE
• Primarily weekends
• Typically 1–2 shifts per week, depending on bookings
• Additional work may become available as the company grows
• Most scheduled shifts last approximately 10–12 hours
• Early mornings, evenings, and long delivery days may be required
A typical busy day may include approximately three setups and three pickups. Most individual setups and pickups take approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on the equipment and location.
Drivers may need to drive up to two hours at a time and may spend approximately 6–8 total hours driving during a long shift.
JOB DUTIES
• Drive 10–15-foot rental box trucks
• Deliver and pick up party-rental equipment
• Load and unload trucks
• Set up and break down soft-play areas, toddler playgrounds, bounce houses, tents, tables and chairs, small yard games, and concession equipment
• Occasionally assist with cleaning or warehouse work
• Communicate promptly about delays, damage, customer issues, or other problems
PAY
Standard rates:
• Driving hours: $25 per hour
• Non-driving or warehouse hours assigned to a qualified driver: $20 per hour
• Payment for weekend shifts is issued by Monday at 5:00 PM
Optional same-day payment through Zelle or Cash App:
• Driving hours: $23 per hour
• Non-driving or warehouse hours: $18 per hour
The work type, rate, and payment option will be confirmed before each shift.
PAYMENT POLICY
Payment is made only to the person who performed the work and only in that person’s own name. This policy is non-negotiable.
Zelle or Cash App must be active, working, and registered in the contractor’s own name. We will not send payment to a girlfriend, boyfriend, spouse, relative, friend, or any other third party.
If you cannot receive payment through your own Zelle or Cash App account, payment will be made by check payable only to you.
REQUIREMENTS
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Eligible to rent and drive U-Haul vehicles
• Experience driving 10–15-foot box trucks or similar vehicles
• Comfortable with long driving days
• Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds repeatedly
• Able to help move heavy or bulky equipment using appropriate equipment and assistance
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Dependable, calm, adaptable, and able to communicate clearly
• Weekend availability
• Comfortable using WhatsApp
• Trailer experience is a bonus but not required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Party-rental experience is not required because training is provided. Helpful experience includes:
• Furniture installation or assembly
• Tent installation and staking
• Event setup or installation
• Moving or delivery installation
• Construction-related installation
• Other hands-on work involving assembling, leveling, securing, or installing equipment
