FNG Meats is a growing meat distribution company based in Opa-locka, Miami, and we're hiring a reliable full-time driver for local deliveries to restaurants and businesses.
You will drive a 2018 Isuzu NPR reefer box truck (no CDL required) with a Carrier or Thermo King refrigeration unit. Experience running these units is required. We are looking for mid- or senior-level drivers.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $18/hour, W-2 employment
Plus monthly bonuses for clean driving, a well-kept truck and zero load claims.
What you'll do:
- Deliver meat orders on a set route around Miami-Dade
- Do the pre- and post-trip inspections, with photos
- Operate the Carrier / Thermo King unit: pre-cool, set and check temperatures, and report any alarm right away
- Keep the cold chain: log temperatures and keep doors closed and curtains on
- Load and unload boxes of up to 40 lbs, using the liftgate
- Take care of the truck, the refrigeration unit and the product as if they were your own
Requirements:
- Valid Florida driver's license (Class E)
- Experience driving reefer box trucks and operating Carrier or Thermo King refrigeration units
- Clean driving record: no points, no suspensions, no DUI
- Must pass a background check, a drug test and approval by our insurance company
- Reliable, on time and responsible: if you get a ticket, you own it
- Able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- 3 verifiable references (previous employers or supervisors) with name and phone number. We will call them.
