This is a vintage cast iron counterweight used in old double hung windows to allow for easier opening and closing using pulleys in channels along side the window frame. There is the typical cast iron surface rust but it is not otherwise damaged. It would also make a decent small boat anchor. It is about 14" long X 1.75" wide.
