This Oldsmobile is truly a preserved nice automobile that can still be enjoyed whenever you want to go cruising. 1946 is a very low year production due to the war just getting over and steel being rationed for the war effort. 54k original miles Has 4 speed Hydra- Matic fully automatic transmission. 238 straight 6 cylinder. Both motor and transmission were overhauled in the late 1980's and work great. I've owned it 11 years and drive it at least once a week weather permitting in Spring thru Fall. Paint is original but is checking in a few spots. Chrome is good but scratched in places. Again it's 80 yrs old. I put 4 new Coker tires, new fuel tank, fuel pump and brakes on it. Did a little updating on the wiring also. The heater and blower work but the clock does not. All gauges work. The radio powers up but no volume. It ran when I bought it but an elderly man owned it and it sat in his garage and was not driven much the 5 yrs prior to me buying it. Original seats have never been sat on. Still has seat covers from factory though they are coming apart in the seams in a few places. Frame is rust free and the trunk too. Has had excellent care and been stored in a heated garage the last 40 yrs. Drive it anywhere. It will run 60 MPH on interstate.
