Selling a very complete EV conversion package that I originally collected for a custom electric vehicle build. I’ve decided to go a different direction and would prefer to sell everything together.
This is a Coda / UQM / A123-based system with the motor, transaxle, battery modules, charging equipment, control hardware, pre-charge components, wiring and related parts already collected around the same setup.
DRIVETRAIN
- UQM PowerPhase 100 electric drive motor
- UQM motor model SPM195-114-3
- Matching UQM inverter/controller
- Approx. 100 kW peak / 60 kW continuous
- BorgWarner/Coda transaxle
- BorgWarner part number 31-03-695-001-B
- Factory high-voltage cabling/connectors shown in photos
BATTERY PACK
- 8 A123 Systems lithium-ion battery modules
- Model 521866-001
- 85.8V nominal each
- 58.8 Ah each
- 5.05 kWh each
- Approx. 40.4 kWh total rated energy
- Approx. 101 lb / 46 kg per module
- Intended configuration was 4s2p
- Approx. 343V nominal system voltage
CONTROL / BMS / EV ELECTRONICS
- Master Control Unit / MCU kit
- MCU pre-programmed for these 8 A123 26s3p modules in 4s2p configuration
- Coda-spec Vehicle Control Unit / VCU
- VCU accessory kit

CHARGER / DC-DC
- ElCon HK-J-H440-20 CAN high-voltage battery charger
- ElCon TDC-JH-320-12 DC/DC converter
- DC/DC input: 206–454V DC
- DC/DC output: 14V / 110A
- CAN communication
WIRING / INSTALLATION MATERIALS
- 200 ft roll of 3/4" orange polyolefin heat-shrink tubing
- HellermannTyton split braided sleeving
- 3/4" size
- 1-1/2" size
- TXL 20 AWG twisted-pair automotive wiring
- Orange/Yellow
- Red/Black
- Blue/Green
- Additional connectors, pigtails and related EV wiring components
This would be a strong foundation for a classic-car EV conversion, kit car, custom EV, buggy, experimental vehicle or similar project.
A big advantage is that a lot of the difficult-to-source drivetrain, battery, charging and control components are already here and were selected around the same Coda/UQM/A123 system.
Asking $7,500 OBO. Selling complete package preferred.
