LABORER
– OLATHE, KS & OKLAHOMA CITY, OK
We are looking for reliable, skilled cabling/network technicians to assist with upcoming projects in Kansas and Oklahoma. If you are a hard worker and have some basic skills please reach out as well.
Olathe, Kansas: August 17–24
Oklahoma City : August 24–until the project is completed
We may need technicians for multiple days throughout the week, so priority will be given to people with strong availability who can consistently show up on time and work through the project.
Scope of Work May Include:
Pulling, routing, and dressing Cat5e/Cat6 network cable
Working inside MDF/IDF/network rooms
Running cable above drop ceilings
Terminating RJ45 ends and keystone jacks
Punching down patch panels
Testing, labeling, and troubleshooting cable runs
Assisting with mounting or replacing access points and network equipment
Organizing and cleaning up network racks and cabling
Ladder work
Moving equipment and materials
Working alongside a lead technician and following installation plans/instructions
We Are Looking for Techs Who:
Who Have previous structured cabling/network installation experience but not required be willing to learn
Can safely work from ladders
Are comfortable working above ceiling tiles
Can lift approximately 50 lbs
Can be on their feet and work for extended periods
Follow directions and communicate well
Pay attention to detail
Show up ON TIME and ready to work
Can potentially work multiple consecutive days
Appropriate Work Attire:
Clean work pants, cargo pants, or durable jeans
Comfortable closed-toe work shoes or boots with good traction
T-shirt, polo, or appropriate work shirt
Clothing that allows you to comfortably climb ladders, bend, crawl, and work above ceilings
Please do not wear sandals, open-toe shoes, excessively loose clothing, or anything unsafe for ladder/network installation work.
Basic Tools Recommended:
Work gloves
Flashlight/headlamp
Utility knife
Screwdriver set
Tape measure
Sharpie/marker
Side cutters/snips
Pliers
Punch-down tool
RJ45 crimper
Cable stripper
Network cable tester
Laptop if available
You do not need every tool listed to respond, but please let us know what tools you have.
Pay: Starting around $20/hour for beginners, $25 -$30 for skilled Low voltage techs, depending on experience and project requirements. I would like to see your overall skills to make sure pay aligns.
Minimum 3-hour pay
Potential bonus for punctuality/reliability
Strong technicians may receive additional work throughout the week and future projects
We are especially interested in technicians who already know how to pull Cat6, terminate cables, punch down patch panels/keystones, test cable runs, work from ladders, and assist with network equipment installation.
