This is a beautiful necklace, never worn, in its original organza carrying bag. Yellow, browns, red/peach.
It measures about 22"-23" long and has a screw clasp*.
I have included the history** of these handmade necklaces by refugee Ugandan women below. It's a very interesting process.
I am conveniently located in Oakton, near Vienna and Oakton HS, off of Blake Lane, near Rt. 66 and Rt. 123.
Cash only, please. I am available just about any time.
*Because it is threaded, it is highly unlikely to open accidentally, making it perfect for heavier necklaces, pearls, and precious heirlooms.
**History: "Paper to Pearls is a renowned fair-trade program founded to empower women, particularly in Northern Uganda. Through this initiative, artisans hand-roll beads from recycled paper, lacquer them for durability, and pair them with other beautiful materials to create striking, eco-chic jewelry. You can discover their story and shop these colorful, socially conscious creations on Fairly Adorned".
