About the Job
We are a small, locally owned construction company in the Nyssa area looking for a hardworking, dependable Heavy Equipment Operator / Construction Laborer to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who isn't afraid to work hard, get their hands dirty, and jump in wherever they’re needed. Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person who has a good attitude, shows up ready to work, and wants to learn.
This is a hands-on position with a variety of work, so no two days are necessarily the same. The right person will take pride in their work, care for the equipment they operate, and be someone the rest of the crew can count on.
Responsibilities:
Assist with excavation, grading, dirt work, and site preparation
Operate dump trucks and other work vehicles as needed
Load, haul, and move dirt, gravel, materials, and debris
Perform general construction and labor duties
Assist with equipment maintenance and daily inspections
Follow job-site safety procedures and properly use safety equipment
Keep equipment, tools, and work areas clean and organized
Work as part of a team to complete projects safely and efficiently
Take direction when needed and be willing to learn new skills
Be willing to pitch in and help wherever the job requires
What We're Looking For:
Reliable and dependable — showing up and being ready to work matters
Previous heavy equipment or construction experience preferred
Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Willingness to work long days when the job requires it
Ability to safely operate and care for equipment
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Valid driver's license
Construction, excavation, farming, welding, or mechanical experience is a plus
Local work in the Nyssa/Malheur County area
Small-team environment where your work matters
Interested?
If you're looking for a place where hard work is appreciated, you can learn new skills, and you're treated like part of the crew, we'd like to hear from you.
