This is a highly desirable 1995 Guild DV-52 NT HG acoustic guitar in excellent condition. It was manufactured in Guild's legendary Westerly, Rhode Island, USA factory.
The DV52-HG-NT breaks down as follows:
* D = Dreadnought
* V = Vintage
* 52 = Model 52, essentially the rosewood/spruce version
* HG = High Gloss
* NT = Natural Top
Guild used the "V" to indicate a dreadnought designed with features intended to produce a more vintage-style sound and response, particularly its lighter construction and scalloped/ forward-shifted bracing. Guild's own catalog specifically says the "V" refers to tuning the body and top to sound like vintage guitars.
Built with premium materials and designed to deliver the strong projection, full bass response and clear highs for which American-made Guild acoustics are known for.
Produced from 1992 to 2001, the DV-52 is known by many for it's deep/rich rosewood and spruce tone, and the mid nineties models with the abalone sound hole ring (instead of herringbone) are said to be the best of the run.

This guitar has only been used and stored in my home studio from day one. The studio is climate controlled between 68 and 74 degrees with a 45% relative humidity. It has always been fitted with light gauge strings and has had very little use.
It is in excellent condition with only minor scratches and dings in addition to the typical pickguard rash. There are a few hairline finish cracks that can be seen in certain cross lighting near the bridge/pickguard and at the base that are typical of Guilds of this age. In normal lighting they’re generally not visible.
The included original Guild branded hard shell case with burgundy plush lining is in like new condition and fits the guitar perfectly. It is the ideal vintage complement for this vintage guitar and offers outstanding protection.
