The top is white pine and the trestle legs are probably oak or other hardwood; the measurements are 77 in. by 34 in and 28 in. high. The table, from a Long Island estate seized for taxes in 1940, escaped seizure as it was on loan to the Luxemburg exhibit of the 1939-40 World Fair. My wife refinished the table around 2000, coating it with polyester varnish. The top has been badly scored by rodents while it was stored in my barn. While its value has been diminished by ill treatment, it remains a well-proportioned piece that deserves restoration.
