The family is looking for someone who is thorough, reliable, organized, and proactive - someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, orderly home and can recognize what needs to be done without requiring constant direction.
Schedule:
3 days per week - approximately 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. Previous schedule was Monday/Wednesday/Friday, although there is some flexibility with the specific days and hours. The position will remain 3 days per week
Responsibilities include:
- Full housekeeping and cleaning throughout the apartment
- General tidying and organization
- Laundry, folding, and putting clothing away
- Changing and laundering bed linens
- Maintaining children’s rooms and keeping them orderly
- Loading/unloading dishwasher and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Trash and recycling
- Keeping household spaces consistently neat and well maintained
- Proactively identifying areas that need attention
The family has a nanny, so there are no childcare responsibilities associated with this position.
The household also has a large, friendly dog, so candidates must be comfortable working around dogs.
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced in private-home housekeeping, dependable, discreet, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. We are particularly looking for someone who takes initiative and naturally notices the small things that help a home run smoothly.
