Ochre is seeking an operations-minded Inventory & Purchasing Specialist to take ownership of inventory flow, purchasing, and component management across our lighting and furniture production.
This role is central to keeping production running smoothly — ensuring key materials are always in stock, orders are placed on time, and systems are organized and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
Own inventory levels across all core components, materials, and consumables
Create, manage, and track purchase orders (QuickBooks, Excel, Asana)
Anticipate demand and maintain appropriate stock levels to avoid shortages
Build and maintain clear, accurate SKU and inventory systems
Coordinate with vendors on ordering, lead times, and deliveries
Work closely with the production team to support scheduling and needs
Utilize tools such as Asana to track tasks, timelines, and workflow
Identify and implement improvements to inventory and purchasing processes
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Highly proficient in Excel; experience with QuickBooks or similar systems
Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools
Proactive, systems-oriented thinker with a sense of ownership
Comfortable managing multiple moving parts and following through
Experience in lighting, furniture, or design/manufacturing preferred
