We are seeking a polished, experienced, and highly organized Floor Captain to help lead front-of-house service and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-touch environment and leads by example with confidence, attention to detail, and a passion for service.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support the front-of-house team during service, ensuring seamless execution and an elevated guest experience
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, service etiquette, and hospitality throughout the dining room
• Coordinate closely with management, hosts, servers, and the kitchen to ensure smooth service flow
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor, anticipating guest needs and ensuring service standards are consistently met
• Assist with table management, seating flow, and guest relations
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, involving management when necessary
• Guide and support service staff throughout each shift
• Assist with training new front-of-house team members and reinforcing service standards
• Ensure proper opening, closing, and side-work procedures are completed
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and service standards
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant service, with previous Captain or leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of hospitality standards, fine dining service etiquette, and guest relations
• Solid understanding of French and Italian wines, including key regions, varietals, and food pairings
• Ability to confidently guide guests through wine selections and support the service team with wine knowledge
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain composed and professional under pressure
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Team-oriented with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach
