Dorothy’s Petcare, a long-standing and highly regarded dog daycare and boarding company, is looking to hire a reliable dog handler/driver/walker immediately.
This is a hands-on position working with groups of dogs in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview:
• Part-time/full time
• Based in Harlem / Morningside Heights
• Mix of dog handling, driving and dog walking
Responsibilities:
• Supervising group play (safety is the top priority)
• Handling dogs of all sizes calmly and confidently
• Transporting dogs (valid driver’s license required)
• Assisting with daily walks when needed
• Maintaining a clean and organized space
• Taking videos and pictures of the dogs regularly everyday to upload
Requirements (Please Read Carefully):
• Valid U.S. driver’s license (NOT a permit)
• Comfortable driving in NYC and navigating and parking efficiently
• Ability to confidently handle multiple dogs of all sizes at once
• Flexible availability
• Reliable, punctual, attentive and dedicated
• Must enjoy and be well adjusted to working with a team
Experience:
• Professional dog care experience strongly preferred
• If no professional experience, you must have a serious interest and passion for working in the dog care industry (not just “liking dogs”)
