This guitar features a gorgeous dark rosewood fingerboard, Mojotone Low Wind pickups, 500k pots, and a 3-way switch. It weighs in at a comfortable 7.6 lbs and is exceptionally resonant.
I've owned and played a lot of boutique and vintage guitars over the years, and what always impresses me about Dan's work is that these never feel like "parts guitars." This instrument feels like a true masterbuilt guitar, everything from the neck carve and fretwork to the setup, finish, and aging comes together as a single, cohesive instrument. It's one of those guitars that immediately feels broken-in and inspiring.
The relic work is tasteful and convincing, and the Faded Rhubarb Mist finish is one of my personal favorites that Dan has ever offered.
One thing worth mentioning is that these guitars are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Many of the most desirable Danocasters are spoken for before they even make it to a dealer's website. I was fortunate enough to reserve this one through Amelia Island Fine Guitars before it even arrived in their shop.
Included are the original Danocaster hang tag and Danocaster soft case.
I'm only selling because I bought far too many guitars over the past year and need to free up funds for a major studio build. Otherwise, this one would absolutely be staying with me.
