About the Job:
We're looking for a working concrete foreman who knows foundation work. This is not a desk job. You'll run the crew, work with your hands, and make sure the job gets done right and on time.
You must know underpinning and pile work. If you've never done underpinning in NYC, this job is not for you.
What You'll Do
Run a crew on underpinning, pile, and foundation jobs
Lay out the work from the drawings and keep the job moving
Do underpinning pits the right way — dig, form, pour, and dry pack in proper sequence
Work with helical piles, drilled piles, and pile caps
Handle formwork, rebar, and pours
Keep the site safe and keep the crew working safe
Work with the super, inspectors, and engineers when they come on site
Keep track of your crew's hours and material on the job
What You Need
5+ years of concrete and foundation work
2+ years running a crew as a foreman
Real NYC underpinning experience — you know pit sequencing, shoring, and working next to occupied buildings. This is a must.
Pile experience — helical, drilled, or driven
Can read drawings and lay out the work
OSHA 30 (SST card for NYC sites)
Show up on time, every day
Speak enough English to talk to inspectors — Spanish/Chinese a plus
Good to Have:
4-Hour Supported Scaffold card
Experience with DOB inspections and special inspections
Driver's license
