With college application deadlines coming up and the admissions landscape increasingly competitive, a compelling application needs to do more than showcase strong grades and test scores.
I help students design or refine their own authentic voice while crafting a “college profile” – a showcase of an applicant’s strengths, experiences, maturity, and growth – that bring forward the best parts of a student. This approach has helped my students get into colleges from Ivies like Yale and Brown, to state schools like NYU, UChicago, and University of Florida, and even art schools like Pratt Institute.
I offer hands-on, one-on-one, personalized guidance for:
- Personal Statement & Supplemental Essays: Select prompts, brainstorm topics, collaboratively write, strengthen drafts, and revise essays while preserving each student's authentic voice.
- Activity Section Development: Identify meaningful experiences, communicate accomplishments effectively, and help students understand what makes their applications distinctive.
- Application Strategy/High School Guidance: Help students present a cohesive story across their activities, essays, and other application materials in the context of their school list, admissions timeline, and academic experiences.
My name is Eric. I graduated from Duke University with a 4.0 GPA, Summa Cum Laude honors, a 527 MCAT score (by some estimates, top 100 students internationally), multiple first-authored research papers, and interview invites from 8+ top medical schools including Duke, UPenn, NYU Grossman, and Johns Hopkins. I've spent half a decade tutoring standardized tests like the PSAT, SAT, DAT and MCAT and elite T20 college admissions. I'm a fun, friendly, and patient mentor with experience communicating complex ideas and adapting to different learning styles.
