An established security services provider is currently seeking experienced, fully certified Fire and Life Safety Directors (FLSDs) for full-time and part-time positions at hotel properties throughout New York City.
DAY AND OVERNIGHT POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE.
We are looking for dependable professionals who are currently FLSD certified, properly licensed, professional in appearance, and ready to work.
This posting is NOT for candidates who are still completing the FLSD certification process.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
Hold a current and valid FDNY FLSD Certificate of Fitness.
Have all applicable FDNY certificates/licenses current and in good standing
Be prepared to provide clear copies/photos of all licenses and certifications upon request.
Have previous FLSD experience, preferably within hotels, hospitality, commercial buildings, or other high-occupancy properties
Be knowledgeable and comfortable operating at a Fire Command Station/fire alarm panel.
Be dependable, punctual, attentive, and able to remain alert throughout the entire shift.t
Communicate professionally with hotel management, employees, guests, and security personnel.
Follow all site-specific post orders and management directions.n
Maintain a polished, professional, and well-groomed appearance at all times
PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE
These positions are within professional hotel and hospitality environments, and appearance and presentation are important.
Candidates must be well-groomed, well put together, and comfortable maintaining a suited professional appearance when required by the assignment.
FLSDs should understand that they are working in guest-facing environments and are expected to carry themselves accordingly. Professionalism, communication, appearance, and demeanor are essential parts of the position.

OVERNIGHT SHIFTS
Schedules may include weekdays, weekends, regular weekly assignments, PTO coverage, call-out coverage, special events, and additional shifts.
Typical assignments may include 8-hour day, evening, and overnight shifts, depending on the property.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Depending on the assigned property, responsibilities may include:
Monitoring the Fire Command Station and fire alarm panel
Maintaining required FLSD and fire-safety logs
Conducting required building/property rounds
Responding appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
Following established fire and life-safety procedures
Assisting with emergency and evacuation procedures when necessary
Identifying and reporting fire/life-safety hazards
Communicating incidents and concerns to management
Maintaining an alert and professional presence throughout the shift
Supporting general hotel safety and security operations as required by the post
