If the black Mercedes-Benz is the universal symbol of understated luxury in the automotive world, the Florence Knoll Credenza occupies that same place in modern furniture. Sophisticated without being flashy, meticulously crafted, and instantly respected by architects, designers, and collectors, it is one of the few pieces that will look as relevant decades from now as it does today. And unlike many luxury furnishings, its design has remained virtually unchanged because it simply doesn’t need to be.

Finished entirely in Italian ebonized oak—from the cabinet to the matching wood top—and complemented by a sleek polished chrome base, this all-black configuration is arguably the most striking and versatile Florence Knoll credenza available. Its monochromatic aesthetic exudes quiet confidence, seamlessly fitting into contemporary, minimalist, executive, and luxury interiors alike. It remains in its original factory packaging and includes all original Knoll labels, serial numbers, authenticity markings and hardware.

Designed by Florence Knoll in 1961, this credenza is one of the defining works of modern furniture design. Its architectural proportions, exceptional craftsmanship, and understated elegance have made it a centerpiece in executive offices, luxury residences, and prestigious commercial interiors for more than six decades. This particular piece was manufactured in Italy in 2023.

This is a custom configuration that is not available on the Knoll or DWR websites. It must be ordered directly through Knoll customer service or a specialized dealer such as Modern Planet. The current retail price for this exact configuration (Product No. 2543MCEE / 2543X) is $25,474. With shipping and sales tax, the total cost exceeds $28,000. Save more than ten thousand dollars compared to retail without the long factory lead time. This is a rare opportunity to purchase an authentic Florence Knoll classic in factory-new condition at a substantial discount.
