CRC Inc. is seeking a resourceful, organized assistant with strong analytical and bookkeeping skills, comfort with technology, and the persistence to follow things through. You must be the kind of person who doesn’t give up when the first answer is, “I don’t know.”
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and account for credit card charges. ----> Match transactions to receipts and invoices, confirm their business purpose, assign expenses to the correct property or business activity, and reconcile monthly statements. Investigate discrepancies and track refunds, credits, and missing receipts—including those that seem to develop legs.
- Implement and administer software packages. ----> Help set up and manage service management programs for maintenance requests, work orders, assignments, and follow-up. Maintain records, assist users, and help the team use these systems consistently.
- Create practical workflows. ----> Turn a business need into a clear process: what needs to happen, who is responsible, what happens next, and how completion is verified.
- Write clear, professional correspondence. ----> Draft letters, emails, requests, and follow-up messages. Keep correspondence and supporting documents organized and easy to find.
- Research unfamiliar questions using AI first. ----> Make a thoughtful effort to find answers with AI before asking someone else to solve the problem. Check important facts against reliable sources and know when a question needs human expertise.
- Translate technical information into plain English. ----> Read API documentation and explain what the software can do, what information it needs, what it returns, and how it might connect with our other systems.
- Provide bookkeeping and administrative support. ----> Prepare spreadsheets, track invoices and payments, communicate with employees and vendors, and keep outstanding tasks moving.
What We’re Looking For:
You must be analytical, dependable, and persistent. We need someone who notices inconsistencies, asks useful questions, keeps information organized, and takes ownership of unresolved issues.
You should be comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets, learning new software, using AI tools, and helping others understand technology. Experience with bookkeeping, software administration, and real estate or technology businesses is helpful.
You should also be comfortable politely reminding busy people that “I’ll send it shortly” is not actually an attachment. A sense of humor is welcome; accurate numbers and reliable follow-through are required.
Office Hours:
Our office is composed largely of people who don’t love getting up early, so most of us work *11 a.m. to 6 p.m.* Please tell us how your availability fits that schedule.
Part time: 20 hours a week
How to Apply:
Please send a brief introduction describing your relevant experience, along with your résumé. ----> Do not send a résumé alone. Your application must include:
- Your phone number.
- The best days and times to reach you for a phone conversation, including your time zone.
- The days and hours you are available to work.
- Your desired compensation.
- A brief example of a workflow you created, a software system you helped implement, or a difficult problem you stayed with until it was resolved.
We’re looking for someone who can help keep the numbers accurate, the systems useful, and the follow-up from becoming a full-time occupation for everyone else.
Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
