We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Art Assistant to help prepare artwork, work on hands-on art projects, and assist with the installation of an upcoming art exhibition opening November 14.
We'll be working together in a studio space in the West Village, with the exhibition installation taking place in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, on November 13.This is a great opportunity for someone who loves making things, has artistic talent, and enjoys hands-on creative work.
Responsibilities:
Assist with various art projects and creative production.
Help prepare, assemble, cut, paint, and finish artwork.
Assist with illustration, lettering, and other detailed artistic tasks.
Help with exhibition setup and installation in Greenpoint on November 13.
Work with different art materials and creative techniques.
Help organize materials and maintain a clean workspace.
Skills & Qualifications
Excellent handwriting, lettering, and calligraphy skills.
Strong illustration and/or painting experience.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
Strong attention to detail and a steady hand.
Comfortable working with different art materials and executing precise creative tasks.
Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
We're especially interested in someone with natural artistic ability, a good eye, and strong hands-on creative skills.
Formal art education is not required.
Schedule & Compensation
Temporary position for approximately two weeks, November 3–14.
Up to 12 hours per week.
$22/hour.
Afternoon and evening hours.
Studio work in the West Village, Manhattan.
Exhibition installation in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, on November 13.
November 13 availability is required.
