Do you enjoy solving the network problem that just surfaced, diagnosing what’s really happening, and getting a customer’s systems back on track?
eScope Solutions is looking for an experienced Network & Systems Engineer who can move confidently between infrastructure engineering, advanced troubleshooting, and security operations. Our team supports financial institutions across the country, so the work is varied, consequential, and sometimes fast-moving. A day may include planned upgrades and project work; it may also call for calm, practical incident response and a quick shift in priorities.
This role suits someone who likes learning, takes ownership, communicates clearly, and can adapt when the situation changes. You’ll work with a close-knit technical team that shares knowledge and takes pride in helping customers keep critical systems secure and available.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Serve as an escalation resource for complex network, systems, and security issues.
• Design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain customer network and infrastructure environments.
• Support Cisco ASA/Firepower and FTD firewalls, Cisco Meraki, managed switches, routing, VPNs, and VLANs.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, and Exchange environments.
• Help protect customer environments through managed endpoint detection and response (EDR), intrusion prevention (IPS), firewall management, web monitoring, and encryption services.
• Support VMware and Proxmox virtualization, remote access, backup, and disaster recovery solutions, including Veeam and Windows Server Backup.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, document work, and communicate status and next steps to customers and teammates.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects and security improvements across a diverse customer base.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Five or more years of hands-on experience supporting Cisco and Microsoft environments, or equivalent depth of practical experience.
• Strong networking fundamentals, including IP routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and troubleshooting.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Active Directory in business environments.
• A resourceful, methodical approach to technical problem-solving, especially when the issue is unfamiliar or the initial plan changes.
• The ability to manage changing priorities, work independently, take initiative, and ask for help or collaborate when the situation calls for it.
• Clear communication, sound judgment, good organization, and a customer-focused approach.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE THAT’S A PLUS
Cisco Firepower/FTD, ASA, Meraki, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure, VMware, Proxmox, Veeam, ZixCorp encryption, ConnectWise Manage, or experience supporting financial institutions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience. Five to seven or more years of relevant experience preferred.
