I studied French Literature in France, worked for three years at a Korean company in Paris, and then taught French in Seoul for 10 years. I hold a Korean language instructor certification (νκ΅μ΄μ§λμ¬ Level 1) and have completed Korean language teacher training (νκ΅μ΄κ΅μ Level 3 course), so my lessons are built on both teaching experience and formal training in teaching Korean.
Ten years of teaching taught me one thing: thereβs no single best way to learn. So I donβt teach one fixed course. I build each lesson around you.
What makes my lessons different
π― Truly personalized lessons: Tell me what you want: conversation, grammar, a test, K-dramas, work Korean. I genuinely enjoy making learning materials, so Iβll plan the structure and create the materials to make your lessons as effective and fun as possible.
π Textbooks, adapted for you: If you like studying with a textbook, great. I donβt just follow it page by page. I rework the content to fit your level and needs.
π» Slides or my own learning app: For online lessons, I use my own custom-made slides. If you have a clear goal, I can also bring in a learning app Iβve been building myself, so you can practice actively instead of just listening.
π Homework and writing correction (optional): I can give you homework and correct your writing in detail, so you see exactly what to fix.
π Using what you learn: New expressions only stick if you use them. Iβll keep nudging you to use them in our conversations until they feel natural.
π£οΈ What we can work on
Conversation, grammar and pronunciation, honorifics (formal vs. informal), natural expressions, and writing.
π Language of instruction
Mainly Korean for immersion. When a point is tricky, I can explain in French, and I can also give basic support in English if needed.
π Format
Online via Google Meet
π Who I teach best
I enjoy working with A2-B1 learners the most. This is the stage where you know the basics and want to start speaking more naturally. Beginners and other levels are welcome too, as long as you can read Hangeul, even slowly.
