The Dobro Val-Pro (Model DEVAL) is a rare, map-shaped solid-body electric guitar produced under the Dobro brand (by Gibson) from roughly 1996 to 2000, drawing inspiration from the iconic 1960s map-shaped Res-O-Glas electrics originally made by Valco under the National brand.
Key Specifications & Features
Body Shape: Offset double-cutaway solid wood body mirroring the map outline of the United States.
Neck: Set maple neck with a bound 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, and a 25.5-inch scale length. The neck profile was notably patterned after early-1990s American Standard Telecaster dimensions (a comfortable, medium-depth round C-shape).Headstock: Distinctive "Gumby"-style headstock.
Electronics & Hardware: Equipped with two P-100 style pickups, an independent volume and tone knob for each pickup (4 knobs total), and a 3-way pickup selector switch. Hardware includes a tune-o-matic bridge, a stop tailpiece, and chrome trim.
Finishes: Offered in limited custom colors including Black, Coral Pink, Cream, Light Sky Blue, and Seafoam Green
