Better Sod of SWFL is looking for a dependable, experienced Class A CDL driver for local sod deliveries throughout SWFL
- We are looking for someone who shows up on time, takes pride in their work, and takes care of company equipment.
* Job responsibilities:
- Deliver sod to residential, commercial, and construction jobsites.
- Be able to drive a semi-truck with flatbed trailer and Moffett.
- Operate a Moffett to load and unload materials
- Operate an off-road forklift
- Perform truck and equipment inspections Before leaving the yard.
- Keep Truck, Trailer, And Moffett clean and maintained.
- Communicate with the office regarding deliveries and scheduling.
- Provide professional service when dealing with customers.
* Requirements:
- Valid Class A license
- Minimum 2 years holding a Class A license
- Absolutely clean driving record
- MUST be able to drive a 10-speed manual without grinding gears and being able to downshift when slowing down.
- MUST be able to use a Moffett forklift.
- Safe and responsible driver.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- MUST show up on time and ready to work.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Must be comfortable maneuvering a tractor- trailer into tight residential areas.
- Must respect and take care of equipment
- Must be able to understand English
