Description of this Volvo V70 R wagon
Extremely Rare & Collectible – 2000 Volvo V70 R AWD (One-Year-Only Model) Laser Blue Metallic · Leather & Suede Interior · Right-Hand Drive · ONLY 88,000 Original KM ·
This is a true unicorn — a 2000 Volvo V70 R, the final and rarest year of the legendary R model, finished in the stunning Laser Blue Metallic that looks absolutely incredible in the Island sunshine. Imported from Japan (RHD), this example has covered just 88,000 km and has been well maintained with a good service history. It combines serious performance, everyday practicality, and serious collectability in one gorgeous package.
The 2.4L turbocharged inline-5 (250+ hp in R tune) paired with Volvo's smooth automatic transmission and all-wheel drive delivers strong, responsive performance with excellent real-world fuel economy for its era. It's quick, composed, and confidence-inspiring on both highway and backroads — the perfect balance of a daily driver you can actually enjoy and a future classic you can be proud to own.
The V70 R is famously known as "the brick with rockets" — incredibly practical with a huge cargo area, yet one of the fastest and most capable station wagons of its time. Rear seats fold flat, and the split-opening tailgate makes loading effortless. This example is further enhanced with the desirable Volvo Pegasus alloy wheels, leather/suede interior, electric sunroof, heated seats, power driver's seat, fog lights, and more.

GREAT RECENT SERVICE HISTORY, THOUSANDS SPENT most collectors can only dream of. This is not just a nice V70 R — it's one of the lowest-kilometre, best-cared-for examples in Canada, in a rare colour and specification.
Whether you want a unique daily driver that turns heads everywhere or a future collector car that's still completely usable right now, this Laser Blue V70 R ticks every box. It's practical enough for family life and exciting enough for spirited drives on Vancouver Island roads.
Spring is here and the Island sunshine is perfect for showing off this beauty.
