Working Commodore 1701 CRT monitor made in June of 1983.
I removed the rear case of the monitor and used a small brush and air to blow out all the dust.
I removed the monitor chassis and used contact cleaner on the front monitor adjustment knobs, as well as the back switch that selects composite input from the front of the monitor, or chroma/luma input from the back.
I tested the monitor with a DVD player through the front composite input, and a Commodore 128 through the back chroma/luma connector. Both input methods resulted in a very nice picture.
The monitor is missing the lower front door that is supposed to cover the adjustment knobs, a fairly common issue with Commodore monitors.
I didn't do any image calibration, other than checking that the image looks good by eye. That combined with the missing front cover is the reason for the price, which I think is fair.
