I'm looking for someone willing to give a beginner a shot.
Hello, I'm a 38-year-old woman living in Dallas, Texas, and I'm ready to step into the skilled trades. My goal is to become a TIG welder, and I'm looking for an employer or experienced welder who is willing to take a chance on someone with no welding experience but a genuine desire to learn.
I know I'm starting from zero when it comes to welding. I'm not going to pretend otherwise. But everyone who is good at a trade had to start somewhere, and I'm ready to put in the work to get there.
I'm not afraid to start at the bottom, get my hands dirty, take direction, and earn my place.
I'm willing to learn proper safety procedures, practice the fundamentals, take constructive criticism, and work hard to become someone a team can depend on. I'm open to starting as a welding helper, shop hand, apprentice, or in another entry-level position that could lead to TIG welding training.
I'm open to paid on-the-job training, formal apprenticeships, and entry-level shop work. I'm willing to start wherever I can get my foot in the door, learn from experienced people, and build the skills needed to become a welder.
I'm not looking for a shortcut. I'm looking for an opportunity.
I want to build a real skill, develop a career I can be proud of, and become good enough at this trade that my work speaks for itself. I understand that takes time, discipline, and patience, and I'm prepared to prove myself.
I'm currently based in Dallas, but I'm open to relocating for the right opportunity with an employer who is willing to train and invest in a motivated beginner.
If you're a welding shop owner, fabricator, manufacturer, or experienced welder who remembers what it was like to start out, I'd appreciate the chance to talk with you.
You don't have to take my word for it. Give me an opportunity to show you what I'm capable of.
If you're willing to train someone who's hungry to learn, please reach out. I'd love to hear from you.
Thank you for reading.
Mae
