Qualifications:
At least high school education. Must be a person of Christian faith who is comfortable working in a faith-based environment. Must be able to move around comfortably and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must possess the ability to interact effectively and respectfully with team members, customers, program participants, and the general public.
Description:
The Hope Center is a registered nonprofit thrift store with a dedicated workforce training and recovery program. We are directed and staffed by followers of Jesus who seek to follow His example in ministry by serving individuals who are ready to make positive life changes and develop skills that lead to personal and professional success.
The Hope Center is seeking a part-time (potentially full-time) Thrift Store Associate to work alongside our program participants and job coaches. This person should be responsible, dependable, and compassionate while working cheerfully and seeking to have fruitful, positive interactions with our participants, customers, and team.
Associates should demonstrate stability, adaptability, and flexibility, as responsibilities may vary based on the needs of the store and our workforce training program. Responsibilities will include assisting with stocking, store maintenance, cashiering, and processing hard goods, as well as other duties necessary to support the operation of the thrift store and the goals of the Hope Center's program.
