We are seeking an experienced Geocaching and EarthCaching Aficionado to develop and launch an educational, conservation-first cache network across several pristine High Desert locations.
Our mission is to highlight the region's remarkable geology, flora, and natural history while promoting responsible stewardship. You will help translate the unique story of the desert landscape into engaging field experiences that educate visitors, local community members, and our team—without leaving a footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Survey multiple High Desert parcels to identify compelling geological features, panoramic viewpoints, and educational focal points.
- EarthCache Development: Research and submit EarthCache listings creating educational materials based on local stratigraphy, weathering, or mineralogy.
Qualifications & Experience: Active, knowledgeable member of the geocaching community with proven experience finding and placing quality hides. Familiarity with EarthCache creation and approval requirements. Knowledge of desert geology, desert ecology, and environmental sensitivity (AI now being very supportive to this process). Ability to hike and work off-trail across desert terrain.
