Let's talk sourdough!
Half Acre Wood, a cottage food sourdough bakery in Greenville, Florida, teaches sourdough classes on Saturdays in Monticello, FL! We love talking sourdough! Our classes are education focused! We teach you how to feed and maintain your starter, how to make dough for your loaf, how to prove, how to shape before baking, how to score, and more!
Each class focuses on a different recipe. We do not bake the sourdoughs we make in class to focus on the real processes and questions that tend to be confusing: is my sourdough starter ready to use? What do I do if I forgot about my sourdough starter? How do I know when my dough is proved?
Active and dehydrated sourdough starters are available for purchase at the class at a discounted class rate - $8 for active starter, $7 for dehydrated starter.
