TOOL RENTAL ASSOCIATE - FULL-TIME
Ramapo Tool Rental is looking for a dependable, motivated Tool Rental Associate to join our team in Airmont, NY.
This is more than a front-desk position.
You’ll be one of the first people our customers speak with when they call or walk into the store. We’re looking for someone who can provide excellent customer service, learn our equipment, process rental transactions, help customers select the right equipment for their jobs, and keep the rental operation organized.
Experience in equipment rental, construction, automotive, hardware, parts, landscaping, or contractor sales is a major plus, but we’re willing to train the right person.
What You’ll Do
Greet and assist customers at the rental counter
Answer incoming customer phone calls
Recommend the correct equipment for customer projects
Create rental contracts and reservations
Provide rental rates and quotes
Check equipment availability
Schedule equipment pickups and deliveries
Collect payments and rental deposits
Explain rental policies and equipment responsibilities
Check equipment in and out
Inspect returned equipment for damage, fuel, cleanliness, and missing items
Communicate damage or equipment problems to management
Coordinate with mechanics and delivery drivers
Follow up on overdue rentals
Assist customers with basic equipment questions
Maintain accurate customer and rental information
Help keep the showroom and rental counter organized
Assist with inventory and equipment tracking
Help identify opportunities to increase rentals and sales
