We are looking for a wonderful new home for our beautiful 9-month-old female German Shepherd. We recently adopted her from a very loving family and had every intention of keeping and training her alongside our 4-year-old male German Shepherd. Unfortunately, only a few days after bringing her home, we unexpectedly had to leave the country and are currently unsure of our return timeline. Our in-laws are caring for both dogs, but managing two German Shepherds has understandably become too much for them.
She is an extremely sweet, affectionate and intelligent young dog with a beautiful long, soft coat. Her previous owners raised her with a lot of love and told us she is potty trained and obedient, with her main training opportunity being that she can bark at other dogs while walking on leash.
In the short time we’ve had her, we’ve seen how quickly she responds to people and direction. She:
• Responds immediately to her name
• Knows commands such as Sit, Go to Bed and Potty
• Responds very well to a firm “No” and redirects quickly
• Is mostly potty trained, although she has had a few accidents while adjusting to our home
• Has shown no signs of aggression with us
• Has been comfortable with handling, including having her paws/body touched and nails trimmed
• Has been comfortable around us while eating
• Is incredibly sweet and eager to interact with people
She is still only 9 months old, so she needs a home with a confident, consistent adult presence who can continue providing structure, exercise, training and affection. With the right person or family willing to invest the time in her, I believe she has the potential to grow into an absolutely wonderful adult German Shepherd.
She is also a gorgeous long-haired/show-line type German Shepherd with a beautiful, exceptionally soft coat.
This is not something we planned to do, so finding the right home is much more important to us than simply rehoming her quickly. We would especially love to hear from someone familiar with German Shepherds or other large working breeds.
There will be a small adoption/rehoming fee to help ensure she goes to a serious and committed home. She will also come with several of her belongings/supplies.
Please call or message me if you are genuinely interested. I would be happy to tell you more about her personality, rehoming fee, what is included with her adoption, and answer any questions before arranging a meeting.
Serious, responsible homes only please. We want her next home to be her forever home.
