Complete 1600 DP engine mock-up paired with verified components for a dual-port build. Engine does not run as assembled; sold as a mock-up plus loose boxed parts, most of what’s necessary to complete the build.

I’ve been gathering and reconditioning parts to build myself a spare engine, but unfortunately life’s twists have relegated this engine to become someone else’s project. There is a lot of reconditioning time invested since it was intended for myself.

Short Block & Internals
• OE Brazilian universal AS41 dual-relief case (unsplit, rotates freely; internal rotating assembly condition/brand unknown)
• AA 85.5mm pistons and cylinders (boxed, 2k miles, not installed on mock-up)
• Stock reconditioned connecting rods (boxed, 2k miles, not installed on mock-up)
• Genuine VW dual-port heads (bare, clean, need guides; includes boxed valvetrain hardware/springs/retainers, some new). New sparkplugs. Stock rocker assemblies, pushrods, and German valve covers. New sump kit.

Bolt-Ons & Accessories
• Genuine German sheet metal, reconditioned and painted (chrome alternator backing plate cover is exception)
• Reconditioned German dual-port center intake (bead-blasted, painted, cleared heat risers)
• OE German intake end castings (bead-blasted, new boots and clamps)
• New Brosol fuel pump with new pushrod
• New 34-PICT-3 style carburetor with air cleaner & spare jets
• CB Performance MagnaSpark II distributor (pre-2018, so it needs module adapter plate installed) Used it for 2k miles. Includes lightly used spare cap & rotor, and dry-pack coil. Used CB Performance 8mm silicone plug wires and a billet clamp.
• Bosch AL82N internally regulated 12v 50 Amp alternator (2k miles); new clear coated alt stand, and new stainless strap
• MST billet oil filler cap
• OE bead-blasted/painted stock upper pulley; Billet degree crank pulley chrome nut
• Clean cooling fan with new mounting hardware kit
• Quality hardware throughout,some gaskets and clamps included

• Tri-mil single quietpack muffler – Used 2k miles – boxed with receipt
• A very nice German doghouse shroud and alternator backing assembly – All powder coated flat black
• A pair of LED bulbs for H4 headlights. (I accidently ordered twice)
• Kadron air cleaners collection – Old school, powdered, stacks…
• VW engine stand with bench mount attachment (not included with engine)
• Cylinder head rebuilding jig and tools
• Lots of other VW tools, parts, and accessories I’m taking to the next swap.
