I am offering a 2.5 hour workshop that teaches an innovative way to learn the basic chord progressions necessary to improvise, leading into the essential chord information needed for playing Jazz, especially related to the fundamental 2-5-1 progression. I guarantee you will see a unique method for learning the progressions that no one uses. I have tried this new technique during summer music camps I attend, and the last time, with a class o 32 people, I got a standing ovation. No circle of 5ths, but something new, for better/easier understanding. I am offering this great opportunity for the first time to the general public, as follows: If you express an interest, via Craigs list email, and get 6 students to enroll, I will hold the workshop. ` Then, at the end of 5 weeks, or before, if I get, or don't get that many students, I will notify you , and then we will coordinate a day and time for this workshop. It be held at my house, near Coffee Road and Orangeburg Ave, Modesto. Fee: $25 cash. If I was just starting out on learning to play jazz, I would want to have taken this class. There were teachers among the classes I've given who said my methods would affect their teaching styles. 4- 5 handouts will be included.I had to put a start date for this posting (required by Craigslist) but it is yet to be determined, so the date you see is inaccurate.
