This is NOT an entry level job. We want an experienced professional who has done this for years, knows cleaning products inside and out, and enjoys teaching others how to do it right.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Train new cleaners with no experience on move out cleans, standard residential cleans, and short term rental turnovers
- Lead hands-on training at job sites, one on one or in small groups
- Run training sessions over Zoom (checklists, product use, quality standards)
- Supervise cleaners in the field and inspect finished work against our checklists
- Help manage the cleaning calendar and crew schedules using our phone and desktop apps
- Be a professional, friendly point of contact with homeowners and clients on site
- Work alongside our cleaning coordinator to keep training and quality consistent
REQUIRED
- At least 3 years of FULL TIME experience as a residential cleaner (house cleaning, maid service, or hotel housekeeping)
- Experience training, teaching, or supervising other cleaners
- Expert knowledge of cleaning products and surfaces: what is safe on granite, marble, quartz, stainless steel, hardwood, and glass stovetops, what will damage them, and which chemicals must never be mixed
- Clear, professional communication in English
- Comfortable using a smartphone app and a computer (scheduling apps, text, email, Zoom)
- Professional appearance and excellent customer service
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (you will travel between homes in Modesto and nearby cities)
- Able to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs through a full shift
STRONG PLUSES
- Bilingual English and Spanish
- Short term rental or Airbnb turnover experience (hotel housekeeping also counts)
- Experience leading a housekeeping team at a hotel or cleaning company
PAY AND SCHEDULE
- $21 per hour to start during a 90 day probation period
- $24 per hour after successfully completing probation
- Part time, about 20 to 30 hours per week to start, with room to grow
- Flexible weekdays plus some weekends (guest checkouts happen every day of the week)
