Responsibilities
Safely handle and restrain dogs of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures
Perform pet bathing, drying, brushing, and coat styling to meet breed standards or owner preferences
Trim pet nails, clean ears, express glands, and perform other pet care tasks with precision and care
Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice
Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools are sanitized and equipment is in excellent condition
Assist with animal handling during or training sessions when needed
Support pet safety by recognizing signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions
Qualifications
Prior experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care is highly preferred
Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus
Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet coat styling techniques
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to lift pets or equipment safely
Experience working with veterinary assistants, technicians, or in veterinary settings is advantageous
A genuine love for animals combined with patience, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
