I've been shooting for decades - back to film. I know photography very well and I'm convinced that all of us out there who call ourselves photographers must be much more creative and artistic with the truth that everyone has a camera disguised as a phone in their pocket these days and we need to separate ourselves from the masses in this realm. ;) When you see the images from our shoot, there will be no question that they are professionally executed :)
Couple that with my love for collaborating with other creatives, my aptitude (and great attitude) for teaching and directing, and the energy that comes from the shoot... bundle all that up and it's all very inspiring!!! Of course, the resulting images are the cherries on top!
I have lots of examples in my portfolio that I'm happy to share with you. In the past I've concentrated on Environmental Portraiture and Form in Landscape (outdoors) and Fine-Art Figurative (indoors). I'm totally open to ideas for themes to explore and have excelled in imagery that ranges from "spiritual and symbolic" including dynamic expression (movement, dance) to "more personal and introspective" themes: still-life, emoting moods, self-discovery and vulnerabilities.
Requirements: be fun, be creative, be open-minded and free-spirited! Be willing to draw from within and be "in the moment". Be willing to allow yourself to enjoy the process completely and embrace the butterflies in your belly that come with trying something new and exciting. This is a beauty-positive exploration whereas all demographics, self-expressiveness, colors and cultures are encouraged. If you are beautiful on the inside, it will soak through your skin for me to capture.
What I'm less interested in: wardrobe and glamour focused, pouty lips and duck faces. lol! We can do better! Think gallery-wall worthy!
