Active indirect-circulation solar water heating system: pump circulates antifreeze heat-transfer fluid through collectors, and heat is transferred to household water (for either culinary hot water, in-floor heating system or radiators, or all) via a stainless steel heat exchanging tank. Has been in use for 15 years, and the owner is wanting to simplify his heating system. An on-demand or tank-style water heater, required for continuous operation, is NOT included in this package, but all other components are. The price is negotiable, but this is the least expensive system you're likely to find. Installation requires advanced plumbing skills or professional assistance. This system was oversized for a two bedroom, two-story house with in floor heat in Moab, but a smaller number of panels could be used. It would be perfect for a larger house in Colorado. Requires a small amount of electricity to operate circulating pumps.
