I picked up this CV 70s thinline telecaster new from Twin Town a couple years ago as a backup guitar. The only QC issue it had out of the box was a slightly askew pickguard screw above the neck (pictured). It plays great, just selling to fund an acoustic.
Since I've had it, it's gotten a proper setup (currently strung with TI flats), full cavity shielding, new electronics including 1meg CTS pots per vintage spec, and most importantly: Revel WRHBs (https://revelcustompickups.com/revel-guitar-pickups/revel-humbucker-pickups/wide-range-humbucker/).
Note that I opted to keep the Squier pickup covers, but you can hopefully see that the bobbins are slightly offset. This is due to Revel using US-spec spacing which is ever so slightly off from the spacing on these import pickup covers.
Price is pretty firm at $500. Normally I'd also scoff at asking near-new price for a used Squier, but with its electronics and pickups already upgraded, this is much closer to a proper Fender '72 thinline than a new Squier CV tele.
