Beautiful solid pine primitive-style corner cupboard/hutch with tons of rustic character. This is a substantial, unusual piece that would look great in a farmhouse, primitive, Americana, cabin, country, or rustic-style home.
Features:
Solid pine construction — not particleboard or veneer
Handmade/primitive-style construction
Two-piece corner cabinet design
Large upper cupboard with two doors
Lower enclosed storage cabinet with two doors
Open corner shelf/counter area between upper and lower sections
Wide-plank knotty pine with beautiful natural grain
Rustic construction with visible knots, saw marks, irregularities and age/wear
Simple, utilitarian doors
Surface-mounted rustic/primitive-style hinges and latches
Remnants of green paint on one of the lower doors
Substantial molded/crowned top
Plenty of useful storage while taking advantage of an otherwise unused corner
No glass — more of a primitive storage cupboard than a traditional china hutch
The wide pine boards, natural knots, irregular surfaces, rustic hardware and traces of old paint give this piece a lot of authentic character. It has the look of American primitive/early farmhouse furniture and would be particularly appealing to collectors and decorators looking for rustic, Americana, primitive, farmhouse or cabin-style pieces.
Important: I don't have documentation establishing the exact age or maker, so I'm not representing it as a 19th-century antique. It may be an older handmade piece or a later piece made in the primitive style. Please look closely at the photos — the rustic character and natural imperfections are part of what makes this piece special.
This is not a generic mass-produced country cabinet. It is a distinctive, substantial piece with a great deal of visual character and storage capacity.
Condition: Rustic/used condition consistent with its style and age. Natural wear, knots, saw marks, imperfections and remnants of old paint are present. Please see photos for condition.
