My name is Evan Young, and I'm proud to be on the team of Elevate Lawns, a small landscaping business built on hard work, trust, and dedication. I grew up here in the Twin Cities and currently study Business and Marketing at the University of Minnesota, where I’ve been able to connect my academic background with my real-world passion for designing and improving outdoor spaces.
Elevate Lawns began with a few friends and me who shared the same mindset: work hard, start small, and build something we could be proud of. We didn’t come from a long line of business owners, and we didn’t have a big network to rely on. What we had was time, commitment, and the willingness to get out there. We started by knocking on doors, handing out postcards, and taking on whatever jobs came our way. Those early experiences taught me that if you want something, you have to go earn it—no shortcuts.
With over four years of hands-on landscaping experience, I’ve learned that listening and attention to detail make all the difference. Whether I’m analyzing site plans in class or shaping a garden bed in the field, I’ve seen how small details lead to big results. That same approach guides how I work with clients: I listen carefully, understand their vision, and deliver thoughtful, practical solutions.
Today, Elevate Lawns offers a full range of services to keep properties looking their best. From detailed weeding, sod installation, and mulch installation to garden bed reshaping, seasonal cleanups, and complete yard makeovers, we bring the same care, clear communication, and attention to detail to every project. I also pride myself on being reliable, efficient, flexible, and easy to work with, so clients know their yard is in good hands.
