My band, The Way Back Yard, plays originals and standards. Our fiddle player moved back home to Virginia and we are looking for someone to help us continue to play festivals and shows throughout the Twin Cities. Check out our music to see if this might be a good fit.

We've played Big Turn Music Festival, Hops fest, and hosted our own festival at the Hook-and-ladder called MN String Gathering. We also love playing the Aster Cafe, 56 brewing, Acadia, 331, etc.
We play many genres of music but with a bluegrass/Americana twist. Influences and covers of the following: Grateful Dead, CSNY, Old and in the Way, Old Crow Medicine Show, Andrew Bird, Towns Van Zant, Greg Brown, Wilco, Willie and Waylon, Dylan, Punch brothers, New Grass Revival, Guster, Pure Prairie League, Billy Strings, Dawes, The Band, too many to count.
I'm looking for someone who is very proficient on their instrument, but also creative and curious about music in general. Someone who loves to play live shows and create new original music while also reimagining classic standards.
