ABCO Fridley Auto Parts is looking for hardworking, mechanically skilled individuals to join our automotive recycling team.
We’re looking for people who take pride in their work, know their way around vehicles and are not afraid to get their hands dirty. Whether you’ve worked as an automotive technician, mechanic, or dismantler, your skills could make you a great fit.
Vehicle Dismantlers will:
1. Dismantle vehicles and carefully remove reusable automotive parts
2. Remove engine and transmission cradles, suspension components, doors, body panels, electrical components and more.
3. Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and efficiently.
4. Identity and protect valuable parts during removal.
5. Follow established quality and production standards.
6. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Engine Dismantlers will:
1. Remove and prepare engines, transmissions and related components
2. Disassemble engines and remove attached components according to production requirements
3. Identify, inspect, and properly handle reusable engine parts.
4. Operate engine hoists, hand tools, impact tools, and other shop equipment.
5. Work efficiently while protecting valuable components from damage.
We are looking for:
1. Strong understanding of engines, transmissions, related systems and automotive knowledge
2. Experience with drivetrain removal, or teardown and drivetrain components.
3. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
4. Strong attention to detail, work ethic and self motivating.
Competitive compensation - up to $25 per hour while training, and must have own tools and tool box at start date.
Pay goes up after training to commission system, where the more you do, the more you are paid.
